What this means for your family

While the facility has a strong rehabilitation team that many families appreciate, the frequency of reports regarding neglect and poor hygiene is deeply concerning. If you choose this facility, we strongly advise daily in-person visits to monitor your loved one's care, as communication from staff is frequently cited as a major weakness.

Questions for Your Tour

  • 1I noticed the facility has a high volume of residents; what specific protocols are in place to ensure call lights are answered promptly and that personal hygiene needs are met in a timely manner?
  • 2Given the recent focus on facility maintenance, could you walk me through your current housekeeping schedule and how you address concerns regarding room cleanliness and sanitation?
  • 3I see that your team is very responsive to feedback online; how do you translate that commitment to communication into your daily interactions with family members who need updates on their loved one's care?
  • 4Since your rehabilitation team is highly regarded, how do they coordinate with the nursing staff to ensure that the progress made in therapy is consistently supported throughout the rest of the day?
  • 5What is your process for double-checking medication administration to ensure accuracy and prevent any delays for residents?
  • 6Could you share what a typical afternoon looks like for residents in terms of social engagement and activities, and how you encourage participation for those who may be less mobile?

Key Review Excerpts

My mother developed Ecoli because they put them to sleep and let them lay in their urine and fecal matter. They have their own breaks when they put the elderly to sleep, they watch movies, play games, and do not answer the call button.

Family member · 2024☆☆☆☆

The medical staff did not do any of the things they said they would do. They didn’t detect a UTI that caused my mother the wind up in ICU!!!. Just a horrible place!!!!

Family member · 2024☆☆☆☆

The therapy team there is so good, also i enjoy the fried fish fridays and super kind nursing staff. I would say the only draw back is I wish insurance wouldve gave me more time at the facility because I really built some good relationships with the people there.
