Key Review Excerpts

The nursing staff forgot to add two important drugs to her care plan, even though they had been ordered by UPMC Hospital. One of the drugs was aspirin for its blood thinning properties. After not receiving the two prescribed drugs for 9 days, my mother developed pulmonary embolisms and deep vein thrombosis.
