Public reviewers frequently mention: modern, clean, and well-maintained facility and effective and dedicated physical/occupational therapy. Review the component ratings and current source records before deciding.
Pleasant View Shiawassee County Medical Care Facility receives highly polarized feedback, with many families praising the modern, clean environment and dedicated therapy teams, while others report significant concerns regarding staff responsiveness and professional conduct. While some families describe the facility as a 'home away from home' with compassionate care, multiple reviewers have documented instances of staff indifference, long wait times for assistance, and poor communication during sensitive medical situations.

Key Review Excerpts
“Physical and Occupational therapy is PHENOMENAL. Myra and Bret really inspire me to do better. I will miss them when I leave.”
“I have had more than one staff member have a HUGE attitude with my family and I. I was leaving one day after visiting my mom and she needed to use the bathroom, the person who answered the call light went in the hall to tell the aid and as I was walking out the aid drew a huge sigh and rolled her eyes and said “AGAIN?””
“My dad went there was there for part of the night, rang for help and physically called out for help .the staff asked now what do you want ?he was having chest pains and was sent by ambulance to the hospital where he died.”
Total nursing hours are below the EveryPlace reference benchmark, though RN coverage meets its reference level. Ask how aides are staffed for daily tasks such as bathing and mobility.
Reference benchmarks (0.75 RN and 4.1 total nursing hours per resident/day) are comparison targets, not current federal minimum requirements.
