What this means for your family

This facility's therapy department is highly effective and frequently recommended for post-hospital recovery. However, families should be aware of recurring reports regarding inconsistent nursing attention and hygiene standards. We strongly advise conducting a tour that includes the specific unit your loved one will occupy and asking for the facility's policy on personal property and communication protocols.

The Peaks Assisted Living and Frontier Rehab Center receives high praise for its exceptional therapy department, which many residents credit for significant physical recovery after surgery or strokes. While many families report compassionate care and a clean environment, there are recurring, serious complaints regarding neglect, poor communication, and issues with basic hygiene and personal property management. Families should weigh the strong clinical rehab outcomes against these reports of inconsistent nursing attention.

Key Review Excerpts

The occupational, physical, and speech therapists took him from almost no mobility on his right side to walking, from needing a feeding tube to no diet restrictions eating regular food.

Memory care family member · 2026★★★★★

I noticed she was in a gown and the clean clothing I had packed for her was basically untouched. She was soaked in urine and it was clear that had been the case for quite some time.

Long-term resident's family · 2024☆☆☆☆

The staff here is excellent! Not one person felt like they were just phoning it in. No matter what they had just done for you they always wanted to go what else can I do.
