Questions for Your Tour

  • 1I noticed that your rehabilitation therapy team receives high praise; how do you ensure that same level of dedication and consistency carries over into the daily nursing and hygiene support provided to residents?
  • 2Given that timely assistance is so important for peace of mind, what is your current process for monitoring and responding to call lights to ensure residents aren't waiting for help?
  • 3I see that you actively respond to feedback online, which is great to see; how does your leadership team use that family input to improve communication and transparency regarding a resident's daily care?
  • 4What specific protocols are in place to ensure medication management is accurate and that doses are administered on time, especially during shift changes?
  • 5Could you walk me through how you handle medical emergencies or sudden changes in a resident's health status, particularly during evening or weekend hours?
  • 6We’ve heard great things about the modern private rooms, but what does the daily social calendar look like to ensure residents stay engaged and active outside of their rooms?

Key Review Excerpts

The rehabilitation is the only reason I gave them 1 star they rehab workers was great. Every time I put the call light on it took at least 2 hours before anyone would come.

Rehab patient · 2023☆☆☆☆

At AHC she would push her button and wait 45 minutes and someone would come to her door and say 'what do you need'. At Ahava she pushes her button and someone is there within a couple of minutes and comes to her bedside and talks to her with kindness and respect.

Long-term resident's family · 2022☆☆☆☆

My mom almost died from medication issues, if I paid attention to the changes they did she may not be as bad off as she is right now. Besides that very bad issue, there is a lot of wonderful staff at this home who really care about the residences and treat them like family.
