What this means for your family

Marmet Center shows strong results for short-term rehabilitation, but the recurring, severe reports of neglect and slow response times are significant red flags. If you consider this facility, perform an unannounced visit during a weekend or evening shift to observe staffing levels and response times personally.

Marmet Center receives highly polarized feedback, with many families praising the compassionate, attentive nursing staff and successful rehabilitation outcomes. Conversely, a significant number of reviewers report severe neglect, including issues with hygiene, slow call-button response times, and poor communication regarding medical care. Potential families should be aware of these starkly contrasting experiences and conduct thorough, in-person visits.

Key Review Excerpts

My Mom has been at Marmet Center for almost three years and while we have had a few issues, I have developed a relationship with the nursing and administrative staff and have been able to go to them about anything I feel is amiss and it is dealt with.

Long-term resident's family · 2026★★★★★

The care and passion of marmet nursing home goes beyond expectations. Therapy has been phenomenal. When I first came I couldn't walk, could move my arms, feed myself. I'm now two weeks from going home and being able to care for myself.

Rehab patient · 2023★★★★★

WARNING: THIS PLACE KILLED MY DAD. He was sent there for rehabilitation after a stay in the hospital with pneumonia. He had a new feeding tube that was placed during the hospital stay as well. His tube became dislodged somehow and they pumped the liquid diet straight into his abdomen for multiple hours.
