Lutheran Hillside Village is widely praised for its beautiful campus, active social environment, and high-quality independent living experience. While many families report excellent care and compassionate staff, there are recurring concerns regarding staffing levels in the rehab and skilled nursing units, as well as difficulties in transitioning residents to higher levels of care when their needs increase.

Key Review Excerpts
“The occupational and physical therapists, doctors, nurses, and everyone else were very courteous, thoughtful, and helpful. The room was cleaned every day, laundry was done, and I could not have asked for better attention.”
“However, once she began needing more care, all I got was a we aren't licensed to do that answer with hardly any solutions other than me giving her more care myself. On several occasions, I requested that she be placed in memory care. I either got 'it's full' or 'your mom doesn't qualify'.”
This facility meets both EveryPlace staffing reference benchmarks. Higher staffing is generally associated with stronger day-to-day care.
Reference benchmarks (0.75 RN and 4.1 total nursing hours per resident/day) are comparison targets, not current federal minimum requirements.
