Key Review Excerpts

The care my 95 year old mother received at Life Care Center of Hilton Head was outstanding - very caring and compassionate. The Physical Therapy staff improved Mom's strength and mobility very significantly and communicated very well to our family during the process.

Long-term resident's family · 2020★★★★★

The p.t.and o.t. here is the best with caring therapists. The nursing care, however, barely exists. The aids care for the patients, but many call in sick. There attention is rude, if at all.

Family member · 2025☆☆☆☆

After more than a year at Life Care, I can say I feel supported and heard at a place my loved one isn't exactly keen on - it's simply not her chosen home. That said, she is safe and well cared for.

This facility has concerning patterns with families filing complaints that triggered inspections involving abuse and neglect reporting failures, occurring repeatedly in 2023 and 2025. The most recurring issues involve resident protection from abuse/neglect, daily care assistance, and medication management across multiple surveys. While all deficiencies show correction dates, the repeat complaints about abuse reporting and the recent serious abuse protection violation in 2025 warrant careful consideration during your visit.
