What this means for your family

While the Highlands offers a beautiful environment and excellent physical therapy, recent reports indicate a concerning decline in the quality of daily care, particularly in memory and personal care wings. We strongly advise families to conduct unannounced visits and speak directly with current staff and residents about maintenance response times and daily assistance levels before committing.

Key Review Excerpts

I am not sure how they treat women in memory, but I do know that in the memory they don’t have experience with dementia and the nurses are overworked.

Memory care family member · 2024★★☆☆☆

While my mother in law has been a resident for 17 years she was recently been placed in Aspire care assisted living which has been substandard for care of a 97 year old with memory issues.

Long-term resident's family · 2024★★☆☆☆

My mother has not had operating heat in her room for approximately 72 hours, that we know of. When I went today we were told that someone would be out from maintenance tomorrow but how is it acceptable living conditions to have her in a room without working heat in temperatures well below freezing?
