Flannery Oaks Guest House receives a high volume of positive reviews praising its cleanliness, friendly staff, and welcoming atmosphere. However, there is a stark divide in experiences, with several recent, highly critical reviews alleging severe neglect, poor communication, and hygiene issues. Families considering this facility should weigh the frequent reports of a clean, well-run environment against serious, specific allegations of inadequate patient care.

Key Review Excerpts

The second day there her daughter walked in the room, only to find her mother covered in feces and her blood sugar was over 700 when they checked her at the ER at our Lady of the Lake hospital.

Memory care family member · 2024☆☆☆☆

They left her sitting in urine for hours, and basically let her starve by failing to ensure she was able to eat or drink. She was taken directly to ICU when she arrived at the hospital.

Memory care family member · 2026☆☆☆☆

Each and every time, down every hall and in the dining hall, I was greeted, offered directions, asked if I needed help or a place to sit. There were staff everywhere and I was most impressed about how the staff interacted with their clients.

3 complaint-triggered

Flannery Oaks Guest House shows concerning patterns with families filing complaints that triggered inspections, including issues with resident protection from abuse and neglect. The facility repeatedly struggles with care planning and assessment, medication management, and infection control across multiple surveys. While all deficiencies show correction dates, the recurring nature of problems in core care areas suggests ongoing quality concerns families should carefully consider.
