This facility has areas of concern that warrant careful consideration. Registered Nurse hours are 50% of the EveryPlace reference benchmark; ask how RN coverage is allocated across shifts. We recommend asking the administrator directly: "How are you addressing recent staffing shortfalls?" These are not reasons to panic, but they are reasons to ask tough questions and visit in person.
Elizabethtown Nursing and Rehabilitation Center receives highly polarized feedback, with many long-term staff members receiving individual praise while families report severe concerns regarding neglect and understaffing. While some visitors appreciate the friendly atmosphere and therapy team, multiple recent reviews describe distressing incidents of poor hygiene, medication errors, and slow response times to basic resident needs.

Key Review Excerpts
“It's about 8p on a Saturday and I've been waiting on a bedpan for almost an hour to relieve myself. I can hear personnel laughing and talking down the hall. My hallway alert light has been on for almost an hour, as well!”
“I was told to put my mother here from someone who worked there and I did she was there for about 3 months in that time she only had 2 baths bc they wouldn’t give her a proper bath they would not listen to her needs when she would tell them she didn’t feel right with that being said she was hospitalized twice withen 3 weeks”
“The staff has been excellent in her care. I have seen several patients come in from other facilities with bed sores. My mother is bed ridden and has never had a bed sore. She is clean and well taken care of.”
Both RN and total nursing hours are below the EveryPlace reference benchmarks. Ask the facility how it staffs each shift for current resident needs.
Reference benchmarks (0.75 RN and 4.1 total nursing hours per resident/day) are comparison targets, not current federal minimum requirements.
