What this means for your family

While the staff is frequently praised for their kindness and the facility is noted for its cleanliness, there are consistent, serious reports of understaffing in the memory care unit. If you are considering this facility, specifically ask management about their staff-to-resident ratios on weekends and evenings, and inquire about their specific protocols for fall prevention and monitoring.

Church of Christ Assisted Living receives high praise for its warm, attentive staff and clean environment, with many families reporting positive experiences regarding their loved ones' care. However, there are serious, recurring reports of understaffing, particularly in the memory care unit, which has led to safety concerns including residents falling and remaining unattended. Families should weigh the positive interpersonal care against these significant operational and safety challenges.

Key Review Excerpts

My father was on the Memory care floor, all they could tell us was that they were understaffed. When you pay over $6,000 a month, that's not what you want to hear. My father fell once and laid there until my sister came to visit and found him on the floor.

Memory care family member · 2023☆☆☆☆

Not enough staff on memory floor. Very disappointed that they only have one staff member for nine patients when my dad is supposed to be checked on every half hour. I found him on the floor today.

Memory care family member · 2023☆☆☆☆

The staff has been a tremendous help in making a bumpy transition as easy as possible. The care is warm and personable.
