What this means for your family

While recent reviews suggest significant improvements in facility aesthetics and staff morale, the history of serious neglect allegations remains a concern. If you choose this facility, we strongly recommend frequent, unannounced visits and establishing a direct line of communication with the unit manager to ensure your loved one's basic hygiene and medical needs are consistently met.

  • 4Could you walk me through your current process for ensuring timely assistance when a resident uses their call light, especially during overnight or shift-change hours?
  • 5With the focus on rehabilitation here, how do you ensure that basic daily hygiene and bathing needs are consistently met for residents who require extra assistance?
  • 6What does the daily social and activity schedule look like for residents who are not currently in active therapy sessions?

Key Review Excerpts

The heart of this place is the CNA’s( certified nursing assistant) which drive the whole show, they are the ground floor workers they're in the trenches doing the hard work.

Rehab patient · 2025☆☆☆☆

I was told by my Kaiser case manager that they were sending me to Carlin Springs for rehab five days after triple bypass surgery... I immediately read the google reviews and I was quite horrified by the stories. But as the day wore on, I was visited by staff from the various departments, and I was impressed by the genuine concern.

Rehab patient · 2023★★★★

I wish I could leave zero stars, by far the worse facility. I highly recommend you do not bring your love one here. The nurses are rude and lack basic care and customer service skills.
