The facility failed to administer medications as ordered for 3 of 4 residents observed during medication passes, including errors with an antipsychotic, a topical medication, and medications for enlarged prostate and arthritis. Additionally, one resident's record review revealed a failure to properly administer medication used to treat pain, fever, and reduce heart attack risk. The medication error rate was found to be 14% during the survey.
