What this means for your family

This facility is an excellent choice for rehabilitation, as many residents report significant physical progress thanks to the skilled therapy team. However, because of documented allegations regarding the theft of belongings and medication errors, families should perform frequent, unannounced visits and maintain a strict inventory of all resident property.

Bay Marina Post Acute has a concerning pattern of 24 complaint-triggered deficiencies where families filed reports about serious issues including resident abuse, neglect, and inadequate care response. The facility shows recurring problems with fire safety systems, emergency preparedness, medication management, and resident rights that persist across multiple surveys from 2019 to 2025. While the facility reports corrections for most violations, the repeated nature of safety and care deficiencies suggests ongoing systemic issues that warrant careful consideration before placement.
