What this means for your family

This facility has a dedicated therapy team and many staff members who are highly praised for their kindness, making it a potential option for short-term rehab. However, the recurring, severe reports of understaffing, hygiene issues, and poor communication are critical red flags. We strongly advise you to visit unannounced, specifically during weekends or evenings, to observe staffing levels and cleanliness for yourself.

Key Review Excerpts

My grandfather stayed here for about 6 weeks to receive PT and treatment and monitoring for his pneumonia. Overall, I would advise you to not send your loved ones here. It may mean the difference between life or death.

Grandchild of rehab patient · 2025☆☆☆☆

The staff to patient ratio is terrible. There’s about 35 patients to 2 CNAs and one nurse per hall.

Grandchild of rehab patient · 2025☆☆☆☆

My granny just turned 100 a few months back and I feel and my granny feels safe and they all treat her like she is a family member. I love you guys for helping her make it to 100 because of all that you do for her.

Bay Breeze has 10 federal deficiencies across 3 surveys with a concerning pattern of recurring fire safety violations, including improperly protected cooking facilities and inadequate smoke-blocking doors that appeared in both 2022 and 2024 inspections. The facility also had issues with care planning, medication labeling, infection control, and facility cleanliness. While all deficiencies show correction dates, the repeated fire safety problems suggest ongoing maintenance challenges that families should discuss during visits.
