What this means for your family

This facility excels in hospitality and maintaining a clean, welcoming environment, which can significantly improve a resident's daily experience. However, because multiple families have reported serious lapses in medication management and communication, we strongly recommend that you or a designated advocate remain highly involved in daily care coordination and verify all medical instructions directly with the nursing supervisor.

Autumn Lake Healthcare at Voorhees receives high praise for its clean, well-maintained facility and a dedicated hospitality team, particularly Nikki Spencer, who is frequently cited for improving resident morale. While many families report excellent rehab outcomes and attentive nursing care, there are critical reports regarding medication errors, communication lapses, and poor food quality that potential families should investigate closely.

Key Review Excerpts

My dad’s food frequently arrived cold, and when we asked for it to be reheated, staff refused. The food quality itself was also not good.

Long-term resident's family · 2026☆☆☆☆

My first day here they hit me a giant dose of insulin when I didn't need it. (15units on a 141 blood sugar) sent me crashing to the low 50s while shaking and trying not to pass out in my room hit the call bell repeatedly for almost 20min.

Rehab patient · 2025★★☆☆☆

The people here are what make this place special. I had a really rough time with things. I was there from just before Thanksgiving through Christmas. In the middle of all of that my cat died and I had a birthday. The people there really kept me going when I was down in the dumps.
