Alamance Health Care Center receives highly polarized feedback, with many families praising the dedicated nursing and therapy staff while others report serious concerns regarding sanitation and responsiveness. While recent reviews highlight improvements under new administration and a strong therapy department, recurring complaints about call light wait times and inconsistent hygiene remain significant issues for potential families to monitor.

Key Review Excerpts
“The facility itself is somewhat dated (exterior, furniture, analog TV, etc), the most important part of a nursing home is going to be the staff. It was my understanding that the facility had some significant issues in the past, and a poor reputation, but that new ownership had stepped in a couple of years”
“The activity director (Caitie Jones) and her staff created the most beautifully decorated table complete with lace, flowers and china tea cups. The residents were able to select their tea flavor and dainty sweets.”
“The call lights stay on way to long, if they got to go to the bathroom even if Lunch Time They can’t hold it. In the morning there beds the ones I know are soaked.”
Both RN and total nursing hours are below the EveryPlace reference benchmarks. Ask the facility how it staffs each shift for current resident needs.
Reference benchmarks (0.75 RN and 4.1 total nursing hours per resident/day) are comparison targets, not current federal minimum requirements.
