What this means for your family

This facility is highly regarded for its physical therapy and rehabilitation programs, which have helped many residents recover effectively. However, given the recurring, serious reports of neglect and poor responsiveness, we strongly advise families to visit frequently and at unannounced times to monitor the level of care. Ask specifically about their staffing ratios on weekends and how they handle patient calls for assistance.

Woodcliff Lake Health & Rehabilitation Center receives highly polarized feedback, with many families praising the facility for its exceptional physical therapy department, clean environment, and warm, attentive nursing staff. However, a significant number of reviewers report serious concerns regarding neglect, poor communication, and unprofessional behavior by some aides and nursing staff, particularly during off-hours or weekends. Families should be aware that while many have had positive experiences, there are recurring reports of inconsistent care standards.

Key Review Excerpts

The nurses are warm and caring and always available to help the residents with big and small requests. Therapy is excellent here! I’ve been to other rehabilitation facilities and this facility is outstanding compared to others.

Family of long-term resident · 2023★★★★★

The staff the nurses the AIDS are all amazing and pay attention to everyone of his needs in a timely manner. They all take a personal interest in his care. It's not one of those locations where the patients are ignored it's exactly the opposite it's a location where the patients take top priority.

Family member/Doctor · 2026★★★★★

My mom fell out of the bed among other issues...we were there every day to make sure she was taken care of and the lack of attention to residents who never got visits was horrible.
