What this means for your family

White Sands Healthcare is frequently praised for its memory care and activities program, making it a strong contender for long-term residents. However, families should be vigilant regarding communication and responsiveness; we recommend visiting at different times of the day to observe staff interaction and asking specifically about the facility's protocol for addressing call lights and family concerns.

Key Review Excerpts

My mom has Alzheimer's and was at Desert Springs, it was recommended she should be moved to a locked unit due to her wandering. I strongly objected. I finally gave in. What a blessing this has been since day 1. The administrator Dusty runs a class A team of professionals at all levels.

Memory care family member · 2024★★★★★

The staff we busy working and caring for the patients, which was great to see! Limiting the number of guest in the room at one time would be helpful when patients have to share a small room.

Visitor · 2024★★★★

My father Roberto Rodriguez, was sent their after heart surgery. Worse care facility ever. After the 4th day we took him out, took him to the ER to get checked out, he was dehydrated, fever. I wouldn’t recommend this place to no one.
