What this means for your family

Village Crest offers a highly effective rehabilitation program that has helped many patients regain mobility, making it a strong candidate for post-surgical recovery. However, families should be aware of recurring reports regarding slow response times for basic needs and inconsistent administrative communication; we recommend visiting in person and asking specifically about the current nurse-to-patient ratio on the floor your loved one will occupy.

Village Crest Center for Health & Rehabilitation receives highly polarized feedback, with many families praising the dedicated nursing and physical therapy teams for successful recovery outcomes. However, significant concerns persist regarding inconsistent staffing levels, poor food quality, and occasional administrative unresponsiveness. Prospective families should carefully evaluate the facility's ability to meet specific care needs, as experiences appear to vary widely based on individual staff interactions.

Key Review Excerpts

I give all credit to my recovery so far to the PT crew. Thank you, you give me hope. Update: when I arrived at Village Crest I couldn't stand for 1 minute. Thanks to the PT/OT staff when I left after 3 months I was walking 150 feet or more.

Rehab patient · 2025★★★★★

My 91-year-old mother was at Village Crest two months for rehab. I cannot say enough about the excellent care she received. Every person we encountered—from the nurses and physical therapy staff to the aides and housekeeping—treated her with kindness, respect, and genuine compassion.

Long-term resident's family · 2025★★★★★

The food was aweful. We had to actually call to see when she was gonna at least get a sponge bath. The aids sponge bath consisted of wiping her neck and back. Always was a delay getting someone in there to assist with bed pan.

Village Crest Center shows a concerning pattern with 31 deficiencies across recent surveys, including multiple family complaints about accident prevention that persist across surveys. The most recurring issues involve accident prevention and safety hazards, care planning problems, and infection control failures. While all deficiencies show correction dates, the repeated safety violations and the fact that families have filed complaints about resident protection warrant careful consideration during your visit.
