What this means for your family

While some families appreciate the small, home-like atmosphere, the recurring reports of poor communication regarding medical status and slow response times to basic needs are significant red flags. Before choosing this facility, we strongly recommend asking for a specific plan on how they communicate health updates to families and how they ensure timely assistance for residents who require help with daily tasks.

Vernon Health & Rehabilitation receives highly polarized feedback, with some families praising the compassionate, caring staff and others reporting significant concerns regarding responsiveness and cleanliness. Potential families should be aware of the inconsistency in service quality and the reported difficulties in obtaining medical updates.

Key Review Excerpts

The staff has been very helpful and easily accessible to answer our questions. I only gave a 4 instead of a 5 because we are so new here but I will definitely follow up in the future months.

Rehab patient's family · 2022☆☆☆☆

I am very unhappy right now with Vernon Manor. A couple of weeks ago my son who has been at VM for 43+ yrs had a problem with his health. They had ordered an x-ray and it didn't show anything definite. I asked them to call me daily with his progress but no one did.
