Key Review Excerpts

My stay at the care center has been wonderful. Everyone has treated me great. If I would have to go back to a nursing home Ste Gen. Care Center is my number 1 pick .

Rehab patient · 2023★★★★★

I have over 6 years experience with the Care Ctr. It is up to the family to be proactive regarding care. On several occasions, my Dad or Mom had a suspected UTI. The gathering of a urine sample is delayed until the next shift, if you are lucky, normally, received only the next day.

Long-term resident's family · 2023☆☆☆☆

First the lady (Carla) was extremely rude after me asking my grandpa if they can open the blinds so we can see him. She stated 'Give me a second im getting there' in a very rude voice.

5deficiencies
Well below state avg (12.0)

St. Genevieve Nursing has recurring deficiencies across three surveys with persistent issues in dietary services, electrical safety, and resident rights that have not been fully resolved. Food safety and staffing problems appeared in all three inspections (2021, 2023, 2024), while electrical system violations with power strips and extension cords occurred repeatedly. Recent 2024 findings included medication error rates exceeding 5%, infection control gaps, and policies to prevent abuse and neglect, though all deficiencies were reportedly corrected.
