What this means for your family

This facility shows a stark divide in experiences; while the rehab and therapy teams receive high praise, there are serious, recurring complaints regarding sanitation and the treatment of dementia patients. If you consider this facility, conduct an unannounced visit to check for cleanliness and specifically ask the administration how they handle communication with family members regarding care plans.

Key Review Excerpts

This is the most unsanitary roach-infested facility I have ever been to. Not only is it disgusting, the staff especially the Director of Nursing Jennifer Kirisits herself, and some of the other nurses are some of the most awful nurses I've witnessed.

Visitor/Caregiver · 2024☆☆☆☆

The Solaris north staff is unbelievably efficient and professional, especially the case manager Brandy. It is very organized and more than kind to the patient.

Family member · 2024★★★★★

The direct care nursing staff were great. The nursing and admin- not so much. My dad has dementia, so what he was telling them was all incorrect. When we told the staff otherwise (as his caretakers) they said “he is his own person.” We, as the caretakers, were completely disregarded.
