What this means for your family

This facility is highly regarded for its rehabilitation therapy and compassionate nursing staff, making it a strong candidate for post-hospital recovery. However, families should be aware of recurring concerns regarding room cleanliness and occasional staffing shortages; we recommend conducting a thorough tour of the specific wing your loved one will occupy and asking about current staffing ratios.

Soddy-Daisy Health Care Center receives a high volume of positive reviews praising its compassionate nursing staff, effective rehabilitation services, and engaging activities. While many families report excellent experiences with patient recovery and staff attentiveness, a minority of reviewers express serious concerns regarding cleanliness, understaffing, and responsiveness to basic patient needs. Prospective families should weigh the strong clinical outcomes reported by many against the specific complaints regarding room maintenance and staff availability.

Key Review Excerpts

I was sent from Erlanger to a rehab (nursing home) facility that was a branch of Erlanger. If the people complaining about Soddy Daisy Health Care had had a loved one at this place then they could complain!! When I got to SDHC I thought I was in heaven.

Rehab patient · 2025★★★★★

My mother lived both in the short-term wing while we waited to qualify her for Medicaid, and then the long-term wing after approved and once on hospice. My experience in the short-term wing varied - some CNAs were less attentive or caring at times than I was comfortable with, however once my mother was in the long-term wing, she had a much better experience.

Long-term resident's family · 2023★★★★

My mom is currently a resident here. I am very unhappy with the cleanliness at this facility. I have expressed my concerns several times but it doesn't seem to improve. The bathrooms aren't kept clean. The trash piles up before emptied.
