What this means for your family

Seneca Place shows strong results for short-term physical rehabilitation, particularly when families are actively involved in care planning. However, families should be extremely cautious regarding long-term care needs, as multiple reports indicate chronic understaffing and slow response times to basic resident needs. We strongly recommend visiting during off-hours to observe actual staffing levels.

Seneca Place receives highly polarized feedback, with many reviewers praising the physical therapy department and specific staff members for their compassion and effectiveness. However, a significant number of families report critical failures in basic care, including severe understaffing, slow response times to call lights, and poor communication regarding care plans. Prospective families should be aware that while some residents have successful rehabilitation outcomes, others report neglect and unprofessionalism.

Key Review Excerpts

The staff arranged a care plan meeting with everyone present so that all our questions and concerns could be addressed. Advice to anyone with a loved one here. Just be kind and ask questions.

Rehab family member · 2023★★★★★

My father was in there had to remove him from there do to poor employees never check on him he would push button and it would take them at least 30 minutes or longer!

Long-term resident's family · 2024☆☆☆☆

If your loved one is able to walk and use the bathroom on their own it may be a different experience but they are not equipped to handle a patient that has extra needs ie can’t get up to use the bathroom.

Seneca Place shows concerning patterns with 58 deficiencies across four surveys, including families filing complaints about daily care assistance and infection control. The facility has repeatedly struggled with care planning, infection control, and fire safety issues across multiple years from 2021 to 2025. While all deficiencies show correction dates, the recurring problems with basic care planning and safety systems suggest ongoing operational challenges that warrant careful consideration.
