What this means for your family

This facility is well-regarded for its therapy department and organized administrative staff, making it a potential option for short-term rehab or respite care. However, families should be vigilant regarding personal belongings and should explicitly verify that the nursing staff is trained to handle any specific medical equipment or conditions your loved one requires.

Questions for Your Tour

  • 1Given the high marks for your therapy department, how do you integrate those services into the daily routines of residents who aren't in active rehab?
  • 2I noticed some families have expressed concerns about personal items like hearing aids and dentures; what specific protocols do you have in place to ensure residents' belongings are tracked and protected?
  • 3Since dining is an area you are looking to improve, could you walk me through how you gather feedback from residents about the menu and meal quality?
  • 4With your 5-star staffing rating, how does your team ensure that the high level of care is consistent across all shifts, especially during weekends or holidays?
  • 5I see you actively engage with families online; how do you use that feedback loop to make tangible changes to the day-to-day experience here?
  • 6What is your facility's protocol for handling sudden medical changes, and at what point would you involve our family in those clinical decisions?

Key Review Excerpts

Staff is so kind from the moment you walk through the door. I received a call from Activity Coordinator, Admissions, and Dietary prior to my mom going.

Respite care family member · 2021★★★★★

I blame this on Rennes as I believe their CNA staff is not trained in caring for ileostomies as I had to assist the CNA once to empty my mothers bag and was told by her that she doesn't have experience in doing this.

Long-term resident's family · 2022☆☆☆☆

1st of all they lost my dad's false teeth several weeks ago. Last week he was served a cucumber salad. Really? They also lost his hearing aids. How can this be possible?!?

Inspection History

Medicare Inspection History

3-year lookback · Medicare 2026

1deficiencies
Well below state avg (9.8)
2 complaint-triggered

This facility has concerning patterns with medication management and fire safety issues recurring across multiple surveys, plus families have filed complaints about abuse prevention and reporting failures. The most recent inspection in December 2024 found ongoing problems with medication services and infection control that have persisted since 2022. While all deficiencies show correction dates, the repeated issues in critical care areas suggest potential systemic problems families should investigate further before considering placement.
