What this means for your family

Brethren Village offers excellent physical facilities and a highly attentive nursing staff, making it a strong candidate for rehabilitation and long-term care. However, families should carefully review the residential living agreement, specifically the terms regarding the refund of large deposits, as recent reports indicate significant administrative friction in this area.

Brethren Village is generally well-regarded for its beautiful, private-room facilities and proactive staff who engage with residents' needs. However, families should be aware of significant concerns regarding administrative policies, specifically regarding the refunding of large residential deposits after a resident's passing.

Key Review Excerpts

The Rehabilitation Center at Brethren Village is truly an amazing building. My mother in law recently had two knee replacements and needed rehab after each one... At Brethren Village - the rooms are all private! Beautiful! Peaceful.

Long-term resident's family · 2017★★★★★

My dealings with the staff have been nothing less than a 10/10. Whenever I have mentioned my grandmother they always immediately know to whom I am referring and are always willing to help me out despite their busy schedules.

Long-term resident's family · 2020★★★★★

Please be aware of signing a residential living agreement with Brethren Village in Lititz,PA. Our father, who lived 8 years there in a studio apartment passed away March 9th 2025. Because his apartment has not been reoccupied for 6 months, BV is not refunding his 80,000 deposit to the estate until someone moves into the space.
