What this means for your family

This facility's rehabilitation and therapy department is highly regarded and could be a good fit for short-term recovery. However, the recurring reports of delayed response times to call buttons and hygiene issues are critical concerns; if you choose this facility, we strongly recommend frequent, unannounced visits to monitor your loved one's daily care.

Key Review Excerpts

The therapy team at Pruitthealth is dedicated to provided compassionate, skilled care to their patients. Improving their patient’s function, quality of life and well being is top priority.

Rehab professional · 2024★★★★★

Patients will push nurse button needing help and will lay their for 2 hours plus needing to go to restroom and then be wet all that time then the patient will get up themselves and fall trying to get to the restroom themselves bc they can’t stand being wet or waiting on nurse.

Family member · 2024☆☆☆☆

The physical therapy portion of Pruitt Health worked well with my mother. However, this is the only part of Pruitt Health that I would recommend. The nursing staff is lacking greatly.

PruittHealth-Elkin has faced significant concerns with families filing complaints leading to federal citations, including infection control issues and safety hazards. The facility shows recurring problems with fire safety systems, building construction, and electrical systems across multiple surveys from 2023 to 2025, suggesting ongoing maintenance challenges. While all deficiencies show correction dates, the persistence of similar building safety issues across years indicates potential systemic problems with facility upkeep and safety management.
