What this means for your family

While many families appreciate the homelike atmosphere and dedicated staff, there is a concerning pattern of reports regarding medication errors and poor responsiveness to call lights. If you are considering this facility, we strongly recommend asking for a tour of the specific unit, inquiring about their weekend staffing ratios, and requesting a clear plan for how they handle medication administration and emergency communication.

Questions for Your Tour

  • 1I noticed your team is very active in responding to online feedback; how do you use that family input to improve communication regarding a resident's daily medical status?
  • 2With the cottage-style layout, how does your team ensure that call lights are monitored and responded to promptly across the different living areas?
  • 3Since your staffing ratings are strong, what specific protocols do you have in place to ensure consistent medication administration, especially during shift changes?
  • 4Given the recent focus on facility maintenance, what is your process for keeping families informed if there are any changes or issues within the home?
  • 5How do you ensure that the same level of attentive care and management oversight is maintained during weekends and evening hours?
  • 6What kind of daily activities or social opportunities are available for residents to enjoy within the cottage environment?

Key Review Excerpts

The nurse aids treated not only her very badly but also the other patients here. The first time me and my sister walked in to the building, before my mom was even transported, we sat down and the nurses in the kitchen were gossiping about their other employees and patients.

Memory care family member · 2025☆☆☆☆

She had nurses and aides that didn’t respond to her call button, was left to sleep over night in a wheelchair, she was not given her pain meds for over 24 hours, and had more than one aide speak disrespectfully to her.

Rehab patient's family · 2025☆☆☆☆

The cottage-style feel of this community makes it a true neighborhood! The staff are amazing, providing outstanding care in a genuinely compassionate manner.
