Key Review Excerpts

I had a stroke in 2009, and got along great but then I started having trouble again. Hallelujah, I got to go to the therapy dept at Otterbein Cridersville. Let me tell you I have been to three different therapy depts and they dont come close to what my friends here at Otterbein did for me.

Long-term resident · 2025★★★★★

The partners at Otterbein Cridersville are caring, empathetic, knowledgeable, and treat the residents as family. Having Independent Living, Assisted Living, Long Term Care and Inpatient and Outpatient Therapy and more, sets this beautiful community apart from any other.

Prospective/Current family member · 2024★★★★★

When we went and looked at the patio home my father-in-law was going to be moving into, maintenance put in a ramp to the garage and moved the handles on the fridge and freezer right away.

Families filed complaint reports that triggered investigations revealing serious concerns about resident abuse protection and privacy violations. The facility shows recurring problems across multiple areas including quality of care (wound care, pain management, mobility assistance), medication management errors, and infection control issues appearing in three of four surveys. While all deficiencies show correction dates, the pattern of repeated violations in core care areas warrants careful consideration.
