Key Review Excerpts

I was a "resident" at Northern Dauphin Nursing and Rehabilitation Center from July 2020 until May 2022. I was in a coma for a year and a half. I was not expected to live. However, the staff worked a miracle. They saved my life.

Rehab patient · 2023★★★★★

My mom has been there for a little over 2 years. She’s very happy. She is getting bathed regularly. They keep us well informed . If I had one complaint it would be housekeeping can kick up their game a few notches.

Long-term resident's family · 2026★★★★

Care started off great however the nurse to patient ratio is way too low. I checked in on my Mom and found her laying in bed glassy eyed, in pain with an unaddressed ruptured appendix, raging infection, plummeting blood pressure.

This facility shows concerning patterns with families filing complaints that triggered 18 of 44 total deficiencies across multiple surveys. The most recurring problems involve treatment and care quality, accident prevention and safety hazards, and pressure ulcer care. While all deficiencies show correction dates, the persistence of similar issues across surveys—particularly safety hazards appearing in complaint investigations from 2023 to 2024—suggests ongoing challenges that warrant careful consideration during any visit.
