What this means for your family

This facility's rehabilitation therapy team is highly regarded and often leads to successful short-term recovery outcomes. However, families should be extremely cautious regarding long-term care; multiple reviewers have reported critical issues with call light response times and neglect. We strongly recommend visiting during off-hours to observe staffing levels and responsiveness before making a decision.

New Albany Care Center receives highly polarized feedback, with many families praising the rehabilitation therapy team and the facility's physical environment, while others report serious concerns regarding neglect and poor communication. While some residents experience attentive, compassionate care, multiple reviewers highlight significant issues with call light response times, inconsistent staffing, and inadequate medical oversight. Families considering this facility should be aware of the stark contrast between the positive experiences of short-term rehab patients and the negative reports regarding long-term care and overnight staffing.

Key Review Excerpts

The therapy staff is fabulous. The food was unbelievable. I cannot say enough about the STNAs. They go beyond the expectations and the most hard working people at the facility.

Grandchild of resident · 2024★★★★★

Found my wife laying in her own excrement two mornings in a row. Her health has deteriorated so much in three days here that she has to go back to the hospital.

Spouse of resident · 2025☆☆☆☆

They refuse to answer their call lights. At one point they told him to stop using his call light. The very first day we got there I pushed his call light because he had to go to the bathroom and they never came.

Child of resident · 2026☆☆☆☆
