A recertification survey was completed on 12/27/23. A deficiency was cited. Based on observation, interview and record review, the facility (residence) failed to maintain and follow written policies and procedures for the administration of medication in accordance with 6 CCR 1011-1, Chapter VII Medication Administration Regulations, affecting one of three sample participants (residents) (#2).1.Chapter VII regulations governing assisted living residents part 14.20, states the assisted living residence shall contact the authorized practitioner for clarification of any orders which are incomplete or unclear and obtain new orders in writing.a. Resident #2 was admitted to the residence on 8/31/23.LisinoprilA written practioner' s order, dated 11/20/23 instructed the facility to administer Liisinopril 40 mg daily.A written practitioners order, dated 9/25/23 directed the facility to check blood pressure twice daily and call the office if blood pressure is over 170.
