What this means for your family

While many families report a positive experience with the facility's cleanliness and activities, there is a recurring pattern of critical neglect and slow response times to call lights. We strongly advise visiting in person during off-hours to observe staff responsiveness and speaking directly with current residents' families to verify the consistency of care.

Key Review Excerpts

The first night she pressed the button for help and it took over an hour for anyone to respond. The second time she requested help that night it was over a half hour. I came in one day, there were 2 call lights beeping away and no one was on the floor.

Family member of rehab patient · 2022☆☆☆☆

My dad has never experienced a level of care as poor as this facility. The food that they serve is cold every single day and will never accommodate your desires. If you are in serious pain, don’t bother pushing the emergency button or expect your medications to be administered on time because the staff will not come and help you.

Family member of resident · 2022☆☆☆☆

Cedar Springs has the BEST activities department! Always putting on events & shows to keep our loved ones entertained & engaged! Top notch quality care all around!

This facility shows concerning patterns with multiple family complaints triggering investigations, most recently in March 2025. The most recurring issues involve protecting residents from abuse and neglect, accident prevention and safety measures, and maintaining proper medical records. While the facility has corrected all cited deficiencies, the repeated problems with resident protection across multiple complaint-driven surveys suggest ongoing challenges with fundamental care standards that families should carefully evaluate.
