Key Review Excerpts

She had to poop and pee on the bed because they would not get her up to go the bathroom. She would lie in her poop sometimes for hours before they would come in to clean her up.

Sister of resident · 2024☆☆☆☆

McGuffey never kept me updated on my father's conditions, they did not update hospice, they did not tell me his testing results or when he was hospitalized.

Daughter of resident · 2024☆☆☆☆

The only positive is that the rehab staff is excellent. Too bad the facility is terrible. Would only recommend if you are outpatient rehab patient.

Both RN and total nursing hours are below national benchmarks. This can mean less clinical attention per resident, so ask about their staffing plan.

McGuffey Health & Rehabilitation Center shows a pattern of fire safety and building maintenance issues across multiple surveys, with deficiencies in smoke control systems, exit doors, and fire alarm maintenance appearing repeatedly from 2019-2021. The facility also had problems with infection control (appearing twice), wound care, and food safety. While all deficiencies were reportedly corrected by the facility, the recurring nature of safety-related issues warrants careful consideration during your visit.
