What this means for your family

This facility excels in physical therapy and aesthetic appeal, making it a strong candidate for short-term rehab if you are highly involved in daily advocacy. However, the recurring reports of neglect and poor communication are significant red flags; if you choose this facility, ensure you have a plan for frequent, unannounced visits to monitor your loved one's care.

Luxe at Jupiter Rehabilitation Center presents a stark contrast between its high-end, hotel-like physical environment and inconsistent care quality. While many families praise the facility's cleanliness, modern decor, and effective physical therapy department, a significant number of reviewers report serious concerns regarding neglect, understaffing, and poor communication. Potential families should be aware that while some patients have excellent recovery outcomes, others have experienced significant delays in basic care and hygiene.

Questions for Your Tour

  • 1I noticed the facility has a very modern, hotel-like aesthetic; how do you ensure that the same high standard of cleanliness and hygiene is maintained inside the private patient suites on a daily basis?
  • 2Given that the physical therapy team is frequently highlighted as a major strength, how do they coordinate with the nursing staff to ensure a resident's progress is consistently monitored?
  • 3I see that your administrative team is very active in responding to feedback online; what is your formal process for families to communicate concerns directly to management to ensure they are addressed promptly?
  • 4With the current staffing levels, what specific protocols are in place to ensure that residents receive timely assistance with personal care needs like bathing and linen changes?
  • 5How does the facility handle medication management and ensure that residents receive their prescriptions accurately and on time, especially during shift changes?
  • 6Could you walk me through how the dining program is structured to provide nutritional variety, and how you accommodate residents who may have specific dietary preferences or needs?

Key Review Excerpts

My 96 yo father has been there for 4+ days . They are basically warehousing him. The nurses / aids are combative when you ask a question. He hasn’t been bathed for over a week.

Long-term resident's family · 2024☆☆☆☆

The physical therapy was very good. That’s about the only good thing I can say about this facility. The administration responded affirmatively to our every request, and then absolutely ignored every request.

Long-term resident's family · 2024☆☆☆☆

The nursing staff was great especially Jennifer the head nurse, made us feel so welcomed and comfortable with leaving my mom there. She answered every question and covered every issue.
