What this means for your family

Kirkland Village offers an excellent environment for independent living with high-quality amenities and social engagement. However, if you are considering the rehab or skilled nursing units, be aware of consistent reports regarding slow response times and staffing shortages. We strongly recommend visiting during off-hours and asking specifically about the CNA-to-patient ratio on weekends.

Key Review Excerpts

It takes 15 - 25 minutes 95% of the time. Some staff have labeled my Mom as incontinent; that is not the case. She turns her light on when she has to go and can wait five minutes but not 15 - 25 minutes.

Rehab patient's family · 2018★★☆☆☆

The nurses feel it's above their pay grade to clean up a patients that's had a bowel movement, so they literally let her sit in her stool for an hour!

Family member · 2022☆☆☆☆

My mom has a broken hip and her roommate a broken leg they move their call buttons far enough away from them that they can’t call for help! If they do have the call button it takes at minimum an hour for someone to respond.

The facility has also had deficiencies in care quality, infection control, and resident assessment practices, though all violations have correction plans in place.
