What this means for your family

Hope Creek is often praised for its clean, hotel-like environment and friendly front-desk staff, making it a visually appealing option. However, families should be aware of recurring reports regarding slow nursing response times and inconsistent hygiene care. We strongly recommend conducting an unannounced visit during off-hours or weekends to observe staffing levels and response times firsthand.

Key Review Excerpts

I'm a retired nurse, with years of visits and care at nursing homes through-out the Quad-City area. I have seen HORRID places, mediocre places, non-caring staff. and FOUL smelling places. Not all are horrible, but Hope Creek is the pinnacle in great care and positive experience.

Rehab-wound care family member · 2025★★★★★

Last week my mother fell head first out of her wheelchair. Went to hospital as she had laceration on her forehead, two huge black eyes. Two days later, she fell head first again out of her wheelchair and was laying in blood as no one saw her fall the second time.

Resident's family · 2025☆☆☆☆

I went to visit my grandfather and when I got there he was laying in his urine no one bothered to change him and replace his sheets. The nurse name Linda was very rude she had an attitude and did not want to get up and check on him

Hope Creek Nursing & Rehab has serious ongoing concerns, with multiple families filing complaints about resident abuse and neglect issues that have persisted across recent years. The facility repeatedly struggles with safety hazards and accident prevention, resident protection from abuse, and medication management. While all deficiencies show correction dates, the pattern of complaint-driven investigations and recurring safety violations suggests systemic problems that families should carefully consider before placement.
