What this means for your family

The Davis Community is an excellent choice for independent living, offering top-tier amenities and a vibrant social life. However, if you are considering the skilled nursing or rehab units, please be aware of consistent reports regarding understaffing and poor communication. We strongly recommend visiting in person and asking specifically about nurse-to-patient ratios and how they handle medication management and discharge planning.

The Davis Community offers a high-end, resort-style environment that receives significant praise for its beautiful campus, dining options, and independent living facilities. However, families of residents in skilled nursing and rehab report severe inconsistencies in care, including issues with understaffing, poor communication, and hygiene concerns. Prospective families should carefully distinguish between the experiences in independent living versus the clinical nursing and rehab wings.

Key Review Excerpts

My mother spent time in this rehab on three different occasions. Some days were better than others, but overall I felt like I had to check in to make sure my mom was being cared for.

Rehab patient's family · 2025☆☆☆☆

The ceilings are full of mold, no wound nurse to properly care for wounds, and the staff is all agency who don’t care. Worst of all, the admin staff couldn’t care less.

Family member · 2025☆☆☆☆

My Mom was at Champions at first in Assisted Living and finally Memory Care. She enjoyed the engaging activities, excellent food and natural outdoor spaces. The staff in both were caring and attentive.
