What this means for your family

Cedar Ridge is highly regarded for its warm staff and engaging social environment, making it a great fit for independent or assisted living residents. However, families must be aware that the facility is not equipped for memory care and has faced criticism regarding communication during medical emergencies. We recommend asking for a clear plan on how the facility handles emergency notifications and verifying if their level of care matches your loved one's long-term needs.

Cedar Ridge Retirement & Assisted Living Community generally receives high praise for its warm, welcoming environment and dedicated staff who treat residents like family. However, families should be aware of significant concerns regarding communication lapses during medical emergencies and inconsistent food quality. While many long-term residents and their families report positive experiences with activities and care, the facility is not equipped for memory care, which has caused friction for some families.

Key Review Excerpts

Twice in two months my mother had medical emergencies and NO ONE called me! I found out from the hospital. I received no response when I questioned why I wasn't called.

Family member of resident · 2023☆☆☆☆

The staff was so caring and kind. She really liked all the caregivers that helped her get around in her wheelchair. She really loved Rochelle. I mostly dealt with administration and medical staff - Susan, Travis, Jennifer and Jeri and they were all great to work with.

Daughter of former resident · 2020★★★★★

The downside has been a consistent lack of communication betweeen the staff and the family. Most phonecalls go unreturned. When my grandmother first moved in, it took about a week to find out that she had not been given her medication
