What this means for your family

Belair is highly regarded for its top-tier physical and occupational therapy, making it a strong candidate for post-surgical recovery. However, families should be aware of consistent reports regarding weekend and night-shift staffing shortages; we recommend visiting during off-hours to observe the environment firsthand and asking management specifically about their call-bell response protocols.

Key Review Excerpts

The physical and occupational therapists are the best! My team was Aknu, Joe & Bri - hard working, attentive, funny and driven. When you think you can’t do an exercise, they stand by you and ask you to try.

Rehab patient · 2024★★★★★

The only thing I could say is there isn't much safety on who calls in about your family member. I don't like that part at all. Another negative is everyone goes on break at the same time so no coverage.

Family member · 2023☆☆☆☆

Not good. They go long periods of time ignoring people who've pushed their call buttons from their rooms. They don't return calls... They let people who are there go hours on end unchanged.

1 complaint-triggered

This facility has recurring deficiencies in care planning, medication management, and fire safety systems across all three surveys. One deficiency was triggered by a family complaint regarding the facility's response to alleged violations. While all issues have been corrected according to state records, the pattern shows ongoing challenges with maintaining consistent standards in resident care coordination and building safety compliance that families should discuss during visits.
