What this means for your family

Beechtree's rehabilitation department is frequently praised for helping patients regain mobility, making it a strong candidate for short-term recovery. However, families of long-term residents should be vigilant; multiple reviewers have raised concerns about neglect and slow response times. We recommend asking management specifically about their nurse-to-patient ratios on weekends and how they handle communication for residents who cannot use a phone independently.

However, a significant subset of reviewers reports serious concerns regarding neglect, slow response times, and poor communication, particularly concerning long-term care residents. Families should conduct a thorough, in-person visit to assess the current atmosphere and staffing levels before making a decision.

Key Review Excerpts

The rehab floor is great! Very clean staff are friendly, but I would not recommend this place for long term care!!

Long-term care family member · 2024★★★★

The staff is amazing. The office staff is extremely helpful navagating the new challenges. The nurses, PT and OT are kind and caring.

Family member · 2024★★★★★

My neighbor ended up here. For less than one month- & in that time she developed 2 bedsores on her coccyx. When I visited her I asked if she could get out of bed. 2 aides came with a Hoyer lift & did get her sitting in a chair. I was not impressed.

10 complaint-triggered

Families filed complaints that triggered investigations revealing significant recurring issues with food quality, fire safety systems, and overall care quality. The facility has persistent problems across surveys with nutrition services (inadequate food temperature and nutrition planning), fire safety equipment (sprinkler systems, alarms, and fire barriers), and resident care standards. While the facility reports correcting deficiencies, the pattern of repeated violations in the same areas suggests ongoing operational challenges families should carefully consider.
