What this means for your family

We strongly advise families to exercise extreme caution regarding this facility. Recent reports indicate severe safety concerns, including allegations of physical abuse and neglect, which contradict the high volume of generic positive reviews from 2023. If you are considering this facility, we recommend requesting the most recent state inspection reports and conducting unannounced visits during evening and weekend hours.

47 reviews on Google
Arcadia Care Aledo exhibits a stark divide in reviewer experiences, characterized by a massive influx of generic five-star reviews in early 2023 contrasted with severe, specific allegations of neglect and abuse in more recent years. Families report critical failures in basic care, including hygiene, staffing shortages, and dangerous incidents in the memory care unit. While some reviewers praise the facility as family-oriented, the recurring reports of staff mistreatment and safety concerns suggest a highly inconsistent and potentially volatile environment.

Key Review Excerpts

My grandmother was in the memory care and was hit by a staff member going through the door not once but twice and the second time ultimately ended her life due to the injuries she sustained.

Memory care family member · 2026☆☆☆☆

Mom has been here about a week now and after asking 3 times she finally was showered today. I really thought this was a decent place until my mom told me that they left her on a bed pan for 30 minutes, the long waits to get someone to answer her call light (30 minutes!)

Long-term resident's family · 2025☆☆☆☆

A lot of staff are rude to their residents and have the attitude of not wanting to be there. My first couple weeks there, one CNA had yelled at a resident with autism... and she was yelling loudly to shut up.
