While the rehab therapy team is noted for being effective, the facility has a consistent pattern of severe neglect regarding basic patient hygiene and call-light response times. If you are considering this facility, you must be prepared to be physically present daily to advocate for your loved one, as multiple reviewers report that care quality drops significantly when family is not watching.

West Hills Health and Rehab receives highly polarized feedback, with a significant number of families reporting severe neglect, including patients left in soiled conditions for hours, unaddressed call lights, and poor facility hygiene. While a minority of reviewers praise the rehab therapy team and specific staff members for their compassion, these positive experiences are frequently overshadowed by recurring reports of understaffing, lack of communication, and unsafe living environments.

Key Review Excerpts

The nursing home level was inhumane, it smelled like a zoo, patients are left over 4 hours in their own urine and fecal matter every day.

Family member · 2023☆☆☆☆

The therapy staff, and facility staff were good. Cleaning staff was there every day. The ladies who bought the meals were the best, friendly and cheerful.

Long-term resident's family · 2022☆☆☆☆

They don’t answer call lights, or if they do, 45 minutes to an hour has passed. They just go down the hall door to door without stopping their routine.
