Based on record review, documentation review, and interview, the manager failed to ensure a policy and procedure was implemented to protect the health and safety of a resident that covered cardiopulmonary resuscitation training for applicable employees including the method and content of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) training, which includes a demonstration of the employee's ability to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation, for one of four personnel members sampled. Findings include: 1. A review of E4's personnel record revealed an "American Health Care Academy CPR/(AED): Adult, Child & Infant + Standard First Aid (BLS)"card. The card indicated a completion date of 11/23/2022 and was "Valid Until 11/23/2024." Evidence of documentation of valid cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) training which included a demonstration of the ability to perform CPR was not available for review. 2. An on-line search of American Health Care Academy revealed this is an on-line course which did not include a demonstration of the ability to perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation. 3. In an interview, E2 acknowledged E4's personnel record did not current documentation of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) training which included demonstration of ability to perform CPR.
