What this means for your family

While the facility offers modern amenities and effective physical therapy, the frequency of reports regarding severe neglect, hygiene failures, and communication breakdowns is alarming. If you choose this facility, ensure you have a daily presence or a camera system in place to monitor care, and be prepared to advocate aggressively for your loved one's basic needs.

The Village at the Greene presents a stark contrast between its modern, clean facility and significant, recurring failures in patient care and communication. While many families praise the physical environment, therapy services, and specific staff members, a large number of reviewers report severe neglect, including long response times for call lights, poor hygiene, and dangerous lapses in medical oversight. Families considering this facility should be aware of the high frequency of complaints regarding understaffing and administrative incompetence.

Key Review Excerpts

The staff worked closely with me caring for mom. Most of them became close to us and we felt like family at Village at the Greene. Mom was happy there and liked the staff and the food.

Memory care family member · 2025★★★★★

My mother was here and the way they treated her was disgusting. The nurse that was caring for her told us that she was only allowed 3 bowel bags and would have to clean her own bowel bag and reuse it which is totally outrageous.

Long-term resident's family · 2026☆☆☆☆

The WORST communication and care I could have imagined. I am out of state and trying to care for my father from afar and they moved my father, with dementia and with no context of what’s happening, to a different location—without communication to any family members.

This facility shows concerning patterns with families filing complaint reports about abuse/neglect investigations, accident prevention, and medication errors. The 70 deficiencies across recent surveys primarily involve daily care assistance, safety/accident prevention, and medication management. While all cited issues show correction dates, recurring problems with safety and medication errors suggest ongoing challenges, and recent 2025 findings indicate persistent quality concerns that warrant careful evaluation during any visit.
