What this means for your family

The Oaks offers a warm environment and skilled therapy services that many families appreciate. However, due to serious reports regarding communication lapses and staff conduct, we strongly advise you to conduct an unannounced visit and speak directly with the nursing director about their protocols for patient advocacy and family updates.

The Oaks receives polarized feedback, with many reviewers praising the friendly, kind staff and warm environment, while others report serious concerns regarding communication and professional conduct. Families should be aware of specific allegations of verbal abuse and neglect, which contrast sharply with the positive experiences of others. The facility appears to struggle with consistency in care and administrative responsiveness.

Key Review Excerpts

My first day and every one following, ppl introduced themselves to me and asked if I needed anything. Private room and bathroom and window unit to control temp to my comfort. Meals were good except for. A couple of times. Skilled physical therapy and occupational therapy.

Rehab patient · 2024★★★★★

I am thankful for the help, concern and communication given to me for a friend at The Oaks. It is a blessing to know they are being cared for.

Long-term resident's family · 2024★★★★

I am deeply disappointed and concerned about the quality of care provided at The Oaks. Our experience with this facility has been nothing short of troubling... our family witnessed and reported an alarming incident of horrifying verbal abuse.
