What this means for your family

The Maples offers a strong rehab program and an active social calendar that many residents enjoy. However, given the serious allegations regarding neglect and communication failures in the memory care unit, we strongly advise families to conduct an unannounced visit and speak directly with current residents and staff during off-peak hours to verify the quality of care.

The Maples at Har-Ber Meadows receives highly polarized feedback, with many reviewers praising the staff's kindness and the facility's cleanliness, while others report severe concerns regarding patient neglect and unprofessional management. While many recent reviews highlight a welcoming environment, the presence of critical safety concerns necessitates a thorough, in-person investigation.

Key Review Excerpts

The staff and rehab folks all exceeded my expectations. It seemed to me that everyone was bending over backwards, and doing their utmost to see to see to my comfort and care while I was here.

Rehab patient · 2024★★★★★

Here at The Maples the staff is great. There are activities every single day that you can participate in as much as you want. We even had a prom a few months ago.

Long-term resident · 2024★★★★★

The Memory Care Unit killed my mother!! The Manager of the unit is a bully to family and allows abuse and neglect. 18 hours after a fall mom layed in bed with brain bleed, broken pelvis, hematoma covering the entire right side of her face.
