Additionally, there was no documentation of required Diabetic Care training for the staff member.

The facility failed to ensure medication administration in accordance with physician orders and facility policies for a resident undergoing cataract surgery. Specifically, the resident did not receive prescribed pre-operative eye drops (Tropicamide/Phenylephrine) or the required pre-operative warm compress and eyelid cleaning treatments for both the right and left eye surgeries.
